Change Up the Size
Consider changing the size of your postcards. There is no reason why the postcards have to be the typical size, which is usually 4” x 6”. Try something super eye catching and go bigger – such as 5”x7” or even go big time and print them in 6”x11”! Talk about eye catching! As postcards are so affordable, you can take a few chances and print postcards in multiple sizes. Large postcards make a huge impression
Rewrite the Text
The web copy that you include on the postcards can easily draw people in or turn them off. It needs to be visually appealing with headlines that stand out and that are easy to read. There needs to be enough text but not too much as that can be distracting. Go over it with a fine tooth comb and play around with the web copy – create different postcards with different messages. Keep track of which ones garner the most success!
Play With Color
Play with color and finish! What do you most associate with summer? Bright sunny shades of orange and yellow, but also soft lavender and mint green. This gives you a fantastic opportunity to make over your postcard marketing campaign. Perhaps you have always printed the postcards with glossy finishes, which is perfect for virtually every card. Switch it up with a matte finish! Postcards are affordable and there is no reason not to play with it a bit.
As an aside, if you are eco-friendly, it’s possible to print your postcards in an eco-friendly way.
